Mojo Monday - MOJO226 Red Valentine

Hi AGAIN!
I am having the greatest creative day. I have spent this weekend organizing my craft room, really trying to just put things in the best and most efficient place. In the process I saw all of this great stuff! And, about a bi-zillion ideas are floating in my head!

I put together this red valentine card using some beautiful handmade red heart paper. Just gorgeous! I am going to enter this into the Mojo Monday Card contest MOJO226. I really like visiting this site. They have great sketches to start the process.

Vintage Cafe Card Challeng #11 Heart Story

Good Afternoon,

You should see the beautiful day we are having here. Manitoba, Canada is know for its terribly cold and windy winters. But today is sunny and above zero. What a treat. After I post this I am going to take my dog for a nice long walk!

These two cards I made for a couple special friends I have. I think they will love them. I am going to enter them into a challenge on Vintage Cafe Card Challenge. What a gorgeous site this is! I LOVE looking at all the design team's work. It is always an inspiration. http://vintagecafecard.blogspot.com/

This week they requested two cards, each with a Valentine theme, and both having chipboard hearts on them. I covered my chipboard hearts with gesso and then stuck gears, screws, and heart brads in it and then let it dry. It is a bit shabby but not too romantic.

I wanted to make the two cards compliment each other. I made one with a small picture gallery in the middle, and the second card is a single version of this picture gallery theme. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Friendship Card - Spicy Supply Challenge - Ribbon

Good day friends!

I was at a girlfriends house for crop day and this was one of the projects I completed. I am very pleased with this creation. They are some of my favorite colors. I put some vellum through my cuttlebug to make a textured background behind the banner.
For the stamp I daubed on the teal and darker turquoise ink and then put on a bit of chocolate brown. Then I embossed this with clear embossing powder. I just love the way the colors blended.
The friendship title is a resistible chipboard from Close To My Heart. Using the same 3 colors as on the stamp I daubed all over the piece to get a nice marbled effect. I put teal ribbon on and thought it was a bit too powerful so I layered a white fibre ribbon over top (same as on the banner).
This one will go in my stash for someone special to receive. I also want to enter it into a competition 'Ribbon' Gingersnap Creations Blog on http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/2012/01/gc134-spicy-supply-challenge-ribbon.html . Please send along your comments. I would love to hear from you.
