Christmas Cards in March (2)

Good Evening,
Here is another Christmas card that I sent out this past season.For this I used the large poinsettia metal die with a white cotton material. I soaked the material in some water with a small amount of white glue. Then I let this dry to stiffen. I added some pink ink on the edges.

 The ornament was cut using my Close to My Heart Cricut cartridge.

 I made the green velvet leaves from ribbon and trimmed the bottom with lace and red velvet ribbon.

Christmas Cards in March

Today, and over the next couple days,  I have some 2014 Christmas cards that have finally made their way to my blog. It seems like I really went for the reds and pinks this past season.

 I really loved using the small poinsettia die to build my own embellishments.

 The doily was spritzed with pink and red perfect pearl spray. The large white snowflake was a die cut and the large red snowflake underneath that was cut with my Cricut.

Mr. Cool Shades!

Happy Friday All,
I am just back in town today from a business trip all this week. It was a nice break from the regular work routine, but no crafting in the evenings! How boring!

I will show you a layout I finished awhile ago. My son loved sunglasses when he was little. This layout is of him showing off a new pair that he recieved as a Easter gift.

I love Mitch in bright colors and this red fleece was one of his favorites.

I did a lot of cutting for this page. I enjoy fussing cutting. It is relaxing and I just let my mind wander! I also used an edger to cut the pattern on the inner page. I used a page slightly larger with the edge design and then spritzed it with blue shimmer paint for the background page.

For each picture of Mitch I cut him out and matted them on dark navy cardstock. I think it makes the pictures show much better.

Tonight and tomorrow I am at a Scrapbooking/Crafting club at my friends house. There are seven in attendance. It is a guaranteed recipie for laughter and creativity!

Mojo Monday - MOJO226 Red Valentine

Hi AGAIN!
I am having the greatest creative day. I have spent this weekend organizing my craft room, really trying to just put things in the best and most efficient place. In the process I saw all of this great stuff! And, about a bi-zillion ideas are floating in my head!

I put together this red valentine card using some beautiful handmade red heart paper. Just gorgeous! I am going to enter this into the Mojo Monday Card contest MOJO226. I really like visiting this site. They have great sketches to start the process.
