Good Afternoon,
What a great Friday afternoon it is. Here in Winnipeg, MB, Canada the weather is beautiful (23 degrees Celsius) and sunny. The fall leaves are at their best, reds, yellows, and oranges everywhere! This evening I am going to dig in my yard and plant bulbs for spring blooming - tulips, giant alliums, and hyacinths.
Today I am pleased to show you this scrapbook page of Mitch with his big Tonka trucks. He loved them. In the photos he is working in his grandparents garden. They would just let him dig and drive anywhere.
I made this page using the sketch from Scrap the Boys Blog for their September page contest. How fun and messy is this? I am going to join in and enter my page over there.
And here is my interpretation!
I used a chicken wire mask and sprayed on some black and yellow shimmer inks. I took a large paint brush to spread around the bright yellow colour. Then, this was the best part, I took a toy truck tire from one of Mitch's old trucks ran it in black ink and drove it across the page!
I had to add some nice Prima flowers (it is a compulsion). The 'Tonka' title is made from cork letters that I drove over with yellow paint.
Of course, I found some brads, buttons, and wooden gears to stick on.
This one was a real fun to create!
Take care all,
Wanda
