Life is a Puzzle - Bo Bunny Etc.

Today I want to share with you a special scrapbook page I have just completed. This is a school photo of my son at the beginning of Grade 8. I believe this is such a tough age. He was just showing signs of the great young man he has become. Life is indeed like a puzzle. There are so many pieces to choose from and it can take a lifetime to get the whole picture put together.
For this composition I used Bo Bunny's Etc. Line of papers and their chipboard puzzle pieces. I just love this Etc. series! I also added in two doillies that I sponged, flowers ribbon and butterflies.
The blue butterfly has some liquid glass applied to add dimension.
I punched out puzzle pieces and then used a Tim Holtz alphabet die to create the title words. These are chalked and then covered in liquid glass.

This glass butterfly gem I created using a clear glass pebble. A tiny picture of a butterfly surrounded by gold paint was then glued to the bottom. It magnifies the picture and the gold shimmer.

Life is such a puzzle. Most days I still don't know where all the pieces should go. Some days I think a couple pieces have fallen on the floor and are lost forever! What about you?

  1. I need to speak to the person over this blog. My name is Kimberly Benson and I saw a picture that you created as part of a scrapbooking effort. I have written several books and am about to publish #8. One of your pictures would be a perfect cover.

  3. Good Afternoon Kimberly,
Sorry for my slow reply. I am the owner of the TwoMakeDo Blog that you visited on Feb 15, 2014. You had mentioned you were looking for a photo for a book you are working on?
I tried responding to the address you left above but the message bounced back.
