The First Blog Post - Scrapbooking Soccer

Hello Fellow crafters, scrapbookers, glue and scissor fanatics! Welcome to my blog. I have watched with awe from the sidelines for quite some time. Today, I am so jazzed to join in on the conversation.
My first page is of my son, my pride and joy. Don't let these pictures fool you though - he is now 15 years old and six feet tall.

I will alway see him this way. That joyful smiling face.

This is my first try at using Gesso. I made a soccer ball template and spread in a layer. Then I added more layers of gesso to bring up the hexagons. Then I painted these in brown.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

  2. Beautiful page....love the depth and dimension! Looks like you could reach right into it and pat him on the head!(Guess that would be the last time one could pat him on the head though - now that he is 6ft!) Exquisite detail!
